Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic islands. It is a popular destination because of its beautiful beaches, wonderful scenery and fabulous food. Mallorca generally enjoys clear blue skies and sunshine between the months of June and September.

PUERTO ANDRATX

Visit the beautiful fishing village of Puerto Andratx. Wander by the boats and enjoy coffee, lunch or dinner in one of the many waterside restaurants.

Deciding where to stay in Mallorca is often one of the hardest things. Puerto Adratx is a popular destination on the south west tip of Mallorca. It offers stunning views, wonderful water activities-especially sailing and an array of fabulous restaurants. You will be spoilt for choice. Andratx is also less than an hour's drive from Palma airport. The main roads in Mallorca are excellent and make for easy driving. Most guests are very happy to rent a villa in or close to Puerto Andratx.

SOLLER

Soller is a town in the northwest of Mallorca. It sits in the heart of the 'valley of oranges' or the 'valley of gold' as it is sometimes known. Soller became wealthy because of it abundant citrus groves. In the 19th century the oranges were shipped to France from the Port of Soller which is close by. Many locals made their fortunes from the citrus fruit and built graceful, handsome properties which still stand in the town today.

The Port of Soller is a popular destination for clients. It sits in the north west of Mallorca. It is a picturesque, small coast village. It is well known for its historic tram. There is also an historic train which travels between Soller and Palma and which started operating in 1912.

Port de Soller has a large bay, a protected harbour and scenic surroundings. As an old fishing harbour Port de Soller has many restaurants that serve exquisite fresh fish and seafood.

There is a great deal of history surrounding Soller and with its pictureque setting on the water the Port de Soller is a great choice of destination for a holiday.

DEIA

Deia is one of the most enchanting villages in Mallorca. It is a small town with honey-coloured stone cottages on a hilltop overlooking the rugged coast. Writer Robert Graves lived here, and now it’s become a hideaway for the rich and famous.  

It is a peaceful retreat with stunning views. You can meander through the narrow streets. Browse the chic boutiques and galleries and sit and watch the world go by in one of the charming squares. There is a small beach at Cala Deia.

Deia is also close to the town of Valldemossa.

VALLDEMOSSA

Where to stay in Mallorca

Valldemossa is an historic town around 15-20 minutes’ drive from Palma. It is perched on a hilltop surrounded by terraced terrain. The town has car free cobbled alleys and rich cultural heritage. It is a very special, calming place to visit. 

Valdemossa is the highest town in Mallorca. Polish composer Chopin and his French lover, writer George Sand, spent the winter here in 1938/9 in rented rooms in the monastery. 

It is one of Mallorca's most visited towns. Michael Douglas has a home off the Valldemossa to Soller coast road near Deia. 

The Carthusian monastery including the church is definitely worth a visit.  Valldemossa itself is pretty and quaint with lovely views and exudes the energy of a time from centuries ago.

Renting a villa anywhere near this location would be a wonderful experience.

PUERTO POLLENSA

Where to stay in Mallorca

Puerto Pollensa is located in the north of the island. The resort inspired an Agatha Chrsite novel and also featured in the popular TV series 'The Night Manager'. It is a stunning destination with a backdrop of mountains. It offers sun, sand, sea and a wealth of history and architecture. There are few high rise blocks and long sandy, palm tree lined beaches. The town is attractive and is family friendly.

Approximately 10km beyond the town is Hotel Formentor which sits on the Formentor peninsula. Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier honeymooned here and it has been host to many famous actors including Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn and Charlie Chaplin. Winston Churchil also stayed here.
